Player Ratings: Nottingham Forest

October 15, 2017 - Joel Clyne

Scott Carson – 7.5
Solid as ever. Made some important saves at some key moments. Nice that he got a clean sheet on his 100th Rams appearance.

Andre Wisdom – 6.5
Solid and unspectacular. Exactly what you want from your full back.

Richard Keogh – 7
Maintains his excellent start to the season. Solid as ever. Didn’t put a foot wrong. His partnership with Davies has been one of the real plus points so far.

Curtis Davies – 7
Dealt with the threat of Daryl Murphy. Frustrating in possession at times but not helped by the front threes unwillingness to turn and face the opposition.

Craig Forsyth – 6.5
Much improved performance. Solid and got forward well. Seems to be finding his feet after almost two seasons out.

Tom Huddlestone – 6.5
Marshalled the midfield well and his experience shone through in the end. Always better when we have possession.

Joe Ledley – 6.5
Formed a nice partnership with Huddlestone. Read the game well, covered when needed and used his experience well.

Tom Lawrence – 6.5
Dreadful first half but much improved in the second. Looked dangerous on the break and should have scored when the game opened up late on. Takes a good set piece.

Matej Vydra – 8
Scored after 24 seconds. Set up the second. Can’t ask for much more really.

Johnny Russell – 7.5
As with Forsyth, a much improved performance. Grew into the game as it went by and his acceleration late on was a real outlet. A threat.

David Nugent – 7
Scored and harassed their defence. Struggled in the first half but was better when the team pushed on in the second. His goal was his best contribution. Winding up the red dogs was his next.

George Thorne – 6
Nice to have him back wasn’t it? He looked in good shape and passed the ball well when needed. A nice cameo when the game was won. By the way, was he always that tall? He looked like a giant next to some of their players.

Chris Martin – 6
Linked up well a few times but there was little time to make an impact. Will he ever score against them?
